Olúwo Fáyẹmí Fátúndé Fákáyọ̀dé, Ph.D

Fáyẹmí Fátúndé Fákáyọ̀dé, the Director of Èjìòdí Home of Tradition (Baálẹ̀ Palace, Kaa Compound, Old Ọ̀yọ́ Road, Àlàdé Town, Ìbàdàn, Ọ̀yọ́ State, Nigeria), was born in 1974 at Baálẹ̀ House, Kaa Compound, Old Ọ̀yọ́ Road, Àlàdé Town, Ìbàdàn, Ọ̀yọ́ State, Nigeria. His father is late Chief Oyèwùsì Àmọ̀ó Fákáyọ̀dé, who was once the Àràbà/Olu-Isese of Ìbàdànland. His father was also the Baálẹ̀ of Àlàdé Town, Ìbàdàn before his death in 2019. His paternal grandfather was late chief Fákáyọ̀dé Àmọ̀lé who held the position of Àrànìsàn Awo of Ìbàdànland before his death in 1972 while his maternal grandfather was late Fáfẹ́mi Àrẹ̀mú of Ògo village, Akínyẹlé Local Government, Ìbàdàn, who died in 1991.
 
Fayemi Fatunde Fakayode attended Islamic Mission Primary School, Mọ́níyà and Apọ́nmọ́dẹ̀/Mọ́níyà High School, Mọ́níyà from 1980 to 1986 and 1987 to 1992 for his primary and secondary education respectively. He started learning Ifá from his father and his half brother, Late Fawale Alamu, during his primary school days and was initiated into Ifá cult in 1987. 
 

Fáyẹmí attended Adéyẹmí College of Education, Òndó State where he studied History/Yorùbá between 1996 and 1998 and obtained Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE). He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Education, B.A (ED) Yorùbá Language, Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Yoruba Language and Literature and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Yoruba Literature from Ọbáfẹ́mi Awólọ́wọ̀ University, Ilé Ifẹ̀ in 2003, 2016 and 2019 respectively.  He has taught Yoruba Language in secondary schools in Lagos before he finally returned to his home town in Ìbàdàn in 2007.

 
In 2009, Fáyẹmí founded the temple known as Ijo Imole Olodumare Agbaye(Olodumare's Temple of Light International) in Alade, his home town in Ibadan.
 
Fáyẹmí is an ardent believer of Ifá/Òrìṣà/Ìṣẹ̀ṣe/Yorùbá Traditional Religion.
