This HOME was established in 2009 to showcase the rich Cultural Heritage of Yoruba people in general and Alade Town, the host community in particular.
Alade is a town which was established as a community around 1830, by an Ibadan warlord known as Alaseyi Alade. The warrior came from Ikoyi to the second Ibadan with Ibikunle who later became Balogun of Ibadan.
This town of Alade is one of the few places in Ibadan where Yoruba Culture is fully alive. The cultural legacies of the ancestors are still in practice as it is being passed down from generation to generation withour allowing cut on the chain of transmission.
The Home is here to bring to the whole world the rich Cultural Heritage of Oodua race through promotion and showcasing of the land's cultural festivals and practices.
She will be enlightening people about the Cultural practices of Oodua Descendants and Oodua Traditional Religion or Spirituality in which Messengers of Olódùmarè are known as Imọlẹ̀/Òrìṣà with the scripture known as IFA. This tradition originated from Odùduwà land in Africa and spread throughout the World. According to Ifá, the Messengers (Imọlẹ̀/Òrìṣà) of OLÓDÙMARÈ are six hundred and one (601) in number. They include: Èṣù, Ọ̀rúnmìlà (Ifá), Òdù (Odùlógbòójé), Ọbàtálá, Yemòó, Òrìṣà Òkè, Ẹ̀là, Ọ̀sanyìn, Ọ̀ṣun, Yemọja, Olókun, Ajé (Ajéṣálúgà), Ògún, Ọ̀ṣọ́ọ̀sì, Ìja, Òrìṣà Oko, Erinlẹ̀, Ṣàngó, Ọya, Baáyànnì, Ṣọ̀npọ̀nná, Bùkúù (Nàná), Orí, Ẹgbẹ́, Egúngún, Orò, Ẹdan, Ọbalùfọ̀n, Ọbà, Yewa, Odùduwà, Kórì, etc...
